Job Details Starting Date: Jul 6, 2026 Employment Type: Full-time Base Salary: Minimum entry: $58,000.00 per year Potential Compensation: Up to $5,400 in stipends Calendar: Certified teachers: new to district 203 workdays, returning teachers 201 workdays Benefits: Paid time off, holidays, matched retirement through the Arizona State Retirement System, health and life insurance, wellness, professional growth credit Performance Pay: Available annually New Hire Experience: $400 for each full‑time year of certified teaching or equivalent experience in the last 10 years, up to a maximum of $2,800; National Board Certification pays $3,000 annually New Hire Education: $1,250 for advanced degrees plus $80 per hour of graduate‑level credits (BA +96 hours max, MA +96 hours max, $500 for additional advanced degrees beyond a master’s) Position Classification: Certified Job Title: Classroom Teacher Salary Category: Certified Teacher Job Goal The Classroom Teacher guides students toward achieving their full potential by transforming district curriculum standards into engaging and meaningful learning experiences. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education required to obtain AZ Teaching Certification Appropriately certified for the teaching position: AZ Teaching Certificate AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card SEI endorsement coursework completed K‑5 Literacy endorsement Core Job Functions Communicate learning goals to students in a well‑planned, organized manner using clear and precise language Prepare and deliver instruction appropriate to the student population, including curriculum that addresses learning styles, abilities, interests, behavior problems, and students with special needs Create lesson plans describing daily learning experiences correlated with approved curriculum and state and district standards Use available technology to enhance learning Use district and state assessment data to improve instruction and place students in appropriate instructional and intervention programs Facilitate instruction based on current research‑based best practices Effectively implement Individual Education Plans Establish classroom routines to promote a positive environment conducive to effective instruction Participate in team reviews concerning the academic progress of low‑performing students Document and resolve issues related to student behavior problems and attendance Reflect on teaching and strive to improve professional competence Assume legal responsibility for the supervision of students on school property or in attendance at school‑sponsored activities Take necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities Maintain accurate, complete, legible, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation Participate in the intervention process at sites Participate in school‑wide events, scheduled meetings, and parent conferences Participate in school and district initiatives Assume individual responsibilities that may be assigned by the principal/supervisor and that may relate to committee work, student activities, student supervision, or other planning and professional assignments Meet any additional specific job requirements as indicated by the district or school site Core Values Excellence – Value performance and quality in all organizational aspects.
