Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join their team ASAP! This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience processing payroll for large employee populations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time

• Maintain employee payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

• Handle payroll tax filings, garnishments, direct deposits, and benefit deductions

• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries

• Assist with audits, reconciliations, and reporting

• Partner with HR and Accounting teams to ensure payroll accuracy

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of payroll processing experience

• Experience with ADP Workforce Now, ADP, or a similar payroll system (Paychex, UKG, Ceridian Dayforce, Paycom, Workday, etc.)

• Strong knowledge of payroll laws, taxes, and compliance requirements

• Proficiency with Excel and payroll reporting

• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
