Anesthesia Technician

Job Summary Assists anesthesiologists with the administration of formulated therapeutic plans for anesthetic care. Performs routine assigned clinical tasks of limited complexity. Works under direct supervision within defined parameters. Job Requirements Education and Work Experience High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required Associate’s/Technical Degree in biology, chemistry, physics, math or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred Licenses/Certifications National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA): Required Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required Certified Anesthesia Tech (CAT): Required Essential Functions Gathers patient data and assists with physical and mental patient evaluations. Documents surgical procedures and assists directing anesthesiologists with the administration of formulated therapeutic plans for anesthetic care. Makes decisions regarding own work, often limited and confined to routine matters. Elevates questions, problems and significant challenges to more senior staff for direction.
