Commissioning Manager

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Commissioning Manager to join a leading contractor delivering large-scale, technically complex data center projects across Virginia. The Commissioning Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the commissioning process, working closely with project management, field teams, MEP subcontractors, vendors, commissioning agents and clients to ensure systems are successfully tested, commissioned and turned over. Key Responsibilities Manage and coordinate commissioning activities across large-scale data center projects Develop, maintain and execute project commissioning plans and schedules Coordinate mechanical, electrical, controls and other critical building systems Manage commissioning documentation, checklists, testing procedures and issue tracking Coordinate with MEP subcontractors, equipment vendors and commissioning agents Oversee equipment start-up, functional performance testing and integrated systems testing Identify commissioning issues and drive them through resolution Ensure commissioning activities remain aligned with the overall construction schedule Participate in commissioning meetings with project teams, clients and key stakeholders Monitor completion of outstanding commissioning and punch-list items Support final documentation, training, closeout and client turnover Maintain high standards of safety, quality and project execution throughout the commissioning process Qualifications Previous experience in commissioning, MEP or mission-critical construction Data center experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems Experience with commissioning processes from construction and equipment start-up through testing and final turnover Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors, vendors and project stakeholders Experience on large-scale, technically complex construction projects $170k - $200k Performance-based bonus Excellent career progression opportunities Opportunity to work on major mission-critical/data center projects Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate. #J-18808-Ljbffr Foundry
