Patent Agent

An established IP law firm is seeking a Patent Agent to join its team while pursuing a part-time J.D. through an evening law school program. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a strong technical background who are committed to build a long-term career in IP law. Responsibilities: Support attorneys on complex IP and patent litigation matters Analyze and evaluate technical information, patents, prior art, and other IP materials Assist with technical aspects of patent disputes and litigation strategy Support proceedings and matters before the USPTO Conduct technical and patent-related research and analysis Assist with preparation of technical materials, case documents, and presentations Apply technical expertise to a broad range of IP matters Develop practical legal skills while attending law school part-time Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in a technical field such as electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, biotechnology, physics, life sciences, or other STEM disciplines Strong interest in pursuing a career in patent and IP law Must be enrolled in, or planning to attend, an evening/part-time J.D. program Must have, or be willing to obtain, USPTO patent registration What the Firm Offers: Full-time employment while attending law school part-time Tuition expenses covered by the firm Opportunity to gain hands-on experience with patent and IP matters Exposure to patent litigation and USPTO proceedings No traditional billable hour requirement Long-term opportunity to transition into a legal career within IP law #J-18808-Ljbffr Liberty Personnel Services, Inc.
