About the Company Hiring: Our client is a large, well-established organization with a collaborative accounting team supporting multiple business functions and operational areas. This position offers broad exposure to general accounting activities and provides an excellent opportunity for professional growth. About the Job: Our client is seeking a Junior Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations, month-end close activities, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit preparation. This role will work closely with accounting leadership and gain exposure to a variety of accounting functions within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, excellent attention to detail, and a desire to continue building their accounting career. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Reconcile general ledger accounts
- Record daily cash receipts and disbursements
- Support month-end and year-end close activities
- Assist with preparation of financial reports and supporting schedules
- Support internal and external audit requests
- Maintain accounting documentation and internal controls
- Assist with process improvement initiatives and special projects
- Provide backup support for various accounting functions as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field is strongly preferred
- Internship or prior accounting experience preferred
- Understanding of general accounting principles
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Experience with accounting software systems is preferred
