The Quality Control (QC) Coordinator is responsible for supporting daily quality operations in a cGMP-regulated manufacturing environment. The QC Coordinator is responsible for maintaining quality documentation, supporting inspections and testing activities, coordinating nonconformance investigations, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and regulatory standards. The QC Coordinator must possess strong documentation skills, experience in quality systems, and the ability to work cross-functionally with production, warehouse, and management teams in a food/dietary supplement manufacturing environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Quality Documentation & Record Management
Establish and maintain quality records, logs, and controlled documentation.
Review batch records, production documentation, and quality forms for completeness and accuracy.
Assist with document control activities, including revisions, approvals, and archival.
Ensure records comply with cGMP, SOP, and company standards.
Deliver cGMP training to new hires and ensure training records are maintained
cGMP Compliance & Auditing Support
Support facility compliance with cGMP requirements as per 21CFR part 111 for dietary supplements.
Assist with internal audits, inspections, and quality walkthroughs.
Monitor adherence to sanitation, hygiene, and quality procedures.
Assist with preparation for customer, regulatory, or third-party audits.
Product Inspection & Testing Coordination
Perform & coordinate sampling, inspections, and testing activities.
Support in-process and finished product quality evaluations.
Maintain testing records and coordinate submission of samples when required.
Track and communicate quality issues to appropriate departments.
Nonconformance, CAPA & Investigations
Assist with nonconformance reporting and investigations.
Support corrective and preventative action (CAPA) activities.
Help monitor implementation and closure of corrective actions.
Maintain quality event tracking systems.
Inventory & Material Quality Control
Coordinate quarantine and release of materials when applicable.
Assist with inspection of incoming raw materials and packaging components.
Verify labeling, lot coding, and traceability requirements.
Cross-Functional Support
Work closely with production, warehouse, maintenance, and management teams.
Participate in quality meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist with employee quality and cGMP training activities. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associates or bachelors degree preferred.
At least 1-2 years of experience in quality control, quality assurance, manufacturing, food, supplements, pharmaceuticals, or related industries preferred.
Knowledge of cGMP standards in food/dietary supplements industry is strongly preferred.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Skills
Experience with CAPA systems and document control.
Familiarity with audits and regulatory inspections.
Ability to identify process improvement opportunities.
Physical Requirements and Working Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 25-40 pounds.
Ability to work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.
Must be able to wear required PPE. Work Environment
This position operates in office, warehouse, and manufacturing environments. Exposure to production equipment, warehouse traffic, and manufacturing materials may occur. Compliance with all safety, cGMP, and company policies is required. Equal Opportunity Employer
