RN - Acute Care Intensive Care Unit
Join a dedicated healthcare team providing compassionate, patient- and family-centered nursing care in a dynamic acute care setting within the Midwest region. This role emphasizes best practices, relationship-based care, and adherence to professional nursing standards. You will deliver care guided by the ANA Code of Ethics, state nursing regulations, and evidence-based protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently manage time and resources, prioritizing critical tasks while balancing short- and long-term patient needs.
- Apply specialized knowledge to assign patient care based on acuity and technical requirements.
- Foster excellent relationships with patients, families, physicians, and colleagues, embodying core values such as respect, integrity, collaboration, empathy, and courage.
- Maintain a therapeutic and safe environment by adhering to safety protocols, reporting near misses, and supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Engage in professional development through certifications, advanced education, and leadership opportunities.
- Collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and workplace morale.
Education and Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent experience with at least five years in acute care.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; enrollment in advanced degree programs is encouraged.
- Completion and maintenance of area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty credentials.
Licensure:
Active Registered Nurse license as required by the state nursing board. This full-time day shift position offers a supportive environment for nurses committed to excellence in critical care nursing within a vibrant regional healthcare community.
