Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with a broad surgical background and preceptor capability for a hospital OR position requiring travel experience.

Details

• Five 8-hour shifts per week — 10/12-hour shift schedules are not available for this position
• On-call availability is required
• Surgical specialties include General, GYN, Vascular, Thoracic, Orthopedics (including total joints), Neuro/Head/Spine, and Trauma
• C-Section, ENT, Plastics, and DaVinci Robot experience are preferred
• Meditech Expanse EMR experience is highly preferred

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of current CST experience (non-negotiable)
• NBSTSA certification required (NCCT not accepted)
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Prior travel experience required — first-time travelers will not be considered
• Experience across General, GYN, Vascular, Thoracic, Orthopedic, Neuro/Head/Spine, and Trauma surgical specialties required
• Must be able to work independently
• Must be available and willing to take call
• Must have a personal vehicle — this is a firm requirement
• Ability to precept other staff is required
• License required if applicable
• 2 supervisory signed references from within the past 2 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must be able to precept staff as part of their role
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration — scheduling requests will not be approved at or after the time of offer or interview, and late requests may result in a rescinded offer
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested
• A current (within 1 year) CST skills checklist is required for consideration
• Copies of all certifications must be included with the candidate profile
