Registered Nurse - PACU

$2448.00/week -

Job Summary:

The PACU Registered Nurse provides specialized post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical procedures. They work closely with surgical teams to ensure patient safety, comfort, and smooth recovery.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer post-anesthesia patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications and intervene promptly in case of adverse reactions or complications.
  
  
• 
  Document patient progress, treatments, and interventions accurately.
  
  
• 
  Supervise and support the clinical team during shift transitions.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery processes.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a current Maine RN license or compact license.
  
  
• 
  Possess BLS certification; ACLS and PALS certifications current within required timeframe.
  
  
• 
  Have 1-3 years of PACU or related surgical recovery experience preferred.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task.
  
  
• 
  Be a team player committed to patient safety and quality care.
