Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric populations, employing both standard assessments and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment strategies that focus on immediate objectives while addressing the long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions targeting communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
• Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, families, and caregivers to formulate comprehensive care plans.
• Facilitate informative sessions for patients and their families to ensure progress continues beyond the clinic.
• Participate in occasional inpatient assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless care continuity.
• Maintain detailed and timely documentation in accordance with federal, state, and organizational requirements.
• Keep abreast of the latest developments in your field through ongoing education and collaboration with your professional peers.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
