Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active RN license in New Jersey required
• Previous nursing experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred
• Skilled in assessment, triage, and responding to student health needs
• Knowledgeable in administering medications and managing chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and allergies
• Strong communication abilities for interactions with students, families, staff, and healthcare providers
• Ability to maintain accurate health records in compliance with regulations
• Up-to-date CPR and First Aid certifications

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing services to students, including emergency care, medication administration, and routine health screenings
• Develop and implement care plans for students with chronic health conditions
• Serve as a resource for health education and wellness promotion throughout the school community
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to support student needs
• Maintain meticulous health records, report communicable diseases, and ensure compliance with state and district guidelines
• Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and 504 meetings as needed

Compensation for this position ranges from $32.70 to $52.70. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
