The Community Health Center of the New River Valley is seeking a part-time Transportation Scheduler (approximately 20 hours/week) to coordinate non-emergency patient transportation for medical appointments to help improve patient access to care. The position will be based in Christiansburg. Responsibilities include scheduling transportation, communicating with patients and transportation providers, documenting arrangements in the electronic medical record, resolving scheduling issues, and providing excellent customer service. Qualified candidates should have a clean/clear Virginia driver’s license, knowledge of the New River Valley geography, strong communication and organizational skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to multitask. Previous experience in medical scheduling, dispatch, and customer service in a healthcare setting preferred. Flexible scheduling may be available based on clinic needs. Benefits are not available for this part-time position, which begins at $19/hour. Candidate must be licensed in Virginia and have family practice experience. Behavioral health care and pediatric experience a plus. Full-Time or Part-Time Registered Dental Hygienist – Christiansburg We are seeking either a full- or part-time Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team at our Christiansburg (Montgomery County) clinic. This position works Tuesday – Friday. Hours are negotiable. Sign-on bonus after successful 90-day review. We are looking for a personable, patient-focused hygienist with strong interpersonal skills who enjoys working with diverse patient populations.
