Desktop Analyst

Farella Braun + Martel LLP offers the role of Desktop Analyst (Flexible Hybrid in SF Bay Area). This position supports end‑users in troubleshooting software and hardware and collaborates with the IT department to resolve complex technical issues. The role requires working in‑person in San Francisco at least three days per week. Location: San Francisco, California, United States. Responsibilities Answer Help Desk calls, emails, and tickets during the scheduled workday and provide technical support with excellent customer service. Assist end‑users in troubleshooting and resolving software, hardware, and cell‑phone issues. Escalate complex or specialized problems to appropriate IT team members and collaborate to resolve them. Log incidents into the Help Desk ticket system, follow up to ensure resolution, and maintain accurate records. Perform minor printer repairs and coordinate vendor services when necessary. Maintain records of the loaner pool of laptops and other equipment. Set up and remove network accounts for new or departing employees and maintain public distribution lists. Work with the Training Manager to identify end‑user training needs and coordinate training schedules. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum of two years of law‑firm experience is strongly preferred; all levels are encouraged to apply. Technical training or equivalent experience is required. Bachelor’s degree or advanced technical training is preferred. Thorough knowledge of Windows and Office (current generation). Thorough knowledge of legal applications and document‑processing environments such as iManage, Aderant, and Litera. Ability to learn additional technology applications used by the firm. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with end users. Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
