Hope For Youth's Residential Services provides 24/7, trauma-informed care to adolescents and young adults involved with the child welfare, juvenile justice, and runaway/homeless youth systems across Nassau and Suffolk Counties.As a Residential Caseworker in our Adolescent Diagnostic and Respite Services program, you'll help youth build strengths, maintain family and community connections, and move toward greater stability. Responsibilities include psychosocial assessments, youth- and family-driven service planning, home and community visits, crisis support, documentation, resource coordination, and participation in treatment team meetings.We welcome candidates who bring professional expertise, compassion, and/or relevant lived experience to this work.Function within the agency policy and procedures as outlined in the program practice guide and employee manual.Obtaining necessary documentation to prepare psychosocial assessments and final reviewsPreparing case updates and psychosocial assessments; home visits; parent and youth interviewsSupervising and documenting of family visits; progress notesPreparing incident reports and notifications, as neededSupporting the overall functioning of the program and residents from a trauma informed perspectivePerform other resulting and necessary work to meet the needs and requirements of the clients, the program, Hope For Youth, oversight agency and any other regulatory obligations Where You'll Spend Your Time:Directly supporting youth in program and community settingsWriting/documentation and case managementTeam meetings, committees, and supervisionOngoing training and professional developmentOther related workWhat We're Looking For:Bachelor's degree in social work or related fieldValid NYS Driver's License (ability to safely operate a 7-passenger agency vehicle)Strong writing and time management skillsBilingual candidates encouraged to apply!1+ year experience working with at-risk youth preferredFlexibility to work varied schedules when neededPhysical Requirements:Ability to complete reports and logs, sit/stand for long periods, climb stairs, and drive regularly for work. This opportunity is being offered as Full-Time 35hrs/ week Monday-Friday 9am-5pm with flexible late day.Only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.Excellent training and leadership opportunities available throughout employment and more.Here are some of the other benefits of working for Hope For Youth.
