Details PCU Float role primarily supporting the Med Surg unit with floating required Day shift schedule (3x12 or 4x12 hours, 7:00-19:00) 84 hours biweekly with a 72-hour guarantee on a 36/48 alternating schedule; straight 48s may be considered Weekend work required, potentially most weekends during the contract Block scheduling may be accommodated, but set schedules cannot be guaranteed Typical patient ratio of 1:5 Epic EMR experience strongly preferred Requirements Active TX or compact RN license required Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required Previous travel nursing experience required Charge nurse experience preferred Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line and PICC line management, and blood product administration Experience managing respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, high-flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy care Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and rapid response protocols Experience with insulin drip titration and IV insulin protocols Experience caring for cardiac, renal, neurological, and post-surgical patient populations Additional Information Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with automatic cancellation for a positive result Candidates must avoid substances that could cause a positive drug screen, including CBD products, prior to arrival Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of accepting the offer or have a clear plan for timely completion All required documents must be submitted at least 3 business days prior to the start date First-time travelers may be considered if minimum experience and certification requirements are met American Traveler Job ID P-745795.
