Hands-on Accounting Manager / Assistant ControllerOur client, a strong stable company, is looking for a Hands-on Accounting Manager / Assistant Controller to join their team. Below is a snapshot of the opportunity. This is a position where you will have hands on exposure to virtually every aspect of the financial side of the business.Who: Strong Stable Company What: Hands-on Accounting Manager / Assistant Controller Why: Open due to growth Where: Lithia Springs, GA When: Immediate Need Salary up to $115k - 125k +/- depending on experience, plus bonus Office Environment: HybridResponsibilitiesManage the month and year-end close process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll (which is processed internally for a 100+ employee company), treasury, budgeting cash, variance analysis and fixed asset reconciliationsBalance Sheet reconciliations monthlyIssue timely and complete financial reports and BOD books at the end of every monthEstablish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principlesCoordinate and complete annual review with outside CPA firmComplete annual business license renewals, property tax returns and Secretary of State renewalsProduce and file timely and complete quarterly payroll tax returnsProduce annual W-2's and 1099's and timely filing of W-3's and 1096'sAnnual business insurance and medical insurance renewalsWork with CFO and outside insurance company to complete annual workers comp auditWork with outside auditors to complete annual 401k auditMeet financial accounting objectivesSkillsAdvanced computer skills in Excel, word and accounting software (Sage100 a plus)Ability to manipulate large amounts of dataHigh attention to detail and accuracyBS degree in Accounting or Finance preferredBackground in operations is a plusStrong interpersonal skills as you will be working with all the other department managersA good understanding of "doing what it takes to get the job done"An understanding of intercompany transactions a plus
