Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized cardiovascular operating room nursing care for patients undergoing surgeries. Collaborates with surgical teams to ensure optimal outcomes and patient safety during complex procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular surgery patients.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond promptly to any intraoperative changes.
• Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers during procedures, ensuring sterility and safety.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient records and surgical details.
• Prepare operating rooms with necessary equipment and supplies ahead of scheduled surgeries.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and hospital policies at all times.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with active state licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years of cardiovascular surgery nursing experience.
• Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and perioperative protocols.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, team-oriented environments.
• Flexibility to accommodate variable call schedules, including weekends and holidays.
