Video Data Collector (Smartphone)

Role Overview

Create natural, first-person video footage of everyday activities to help train next-generation AI systems. This remote contract opportunity supports projects in the UK, Canada, India, Singapore, South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia. No previous AI experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Record real-world, first-person video using your personal smartphone and a head strap during the initial project phase.
• Follow detailed capture instructions and submit recordings with complete, accurate metadata.
• Select suitable shooting locations within approved settings while following privacy, consent, and safety requirements.
• Use company-provided video equipment and updated workflows in later phases to record in public, commercial, and outdoor settings.
• Coordinate group activities when needed, obtaining all required written consents and permissions from participants.
• Maintain reliable, high-quality deliverables that meet project guidelines.
• Communicate progress, questions, and challenges clearly with project coordinators.

Qualifications

• Experience with video capture or comparable data-collection work.
• Reliable access to a high-quality smartphone capable of video recording for the initial phase.
• Strong attention to detail, including metadata management and privacy and consent compliance.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow complex instructions accurately.
• Comfort collecting data in home and public environments.
• Ability to coordinate with others for assigned group recordings.
• Adaptability to changing tasks, workflows, and equipment.

Work Terms

• Remote contract engagement.
• Available to contributors located in the UK, Canada, India, Singapore, South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia.

Compensation

$8 to $17 per hour.
