Staff Accountant

Job TitleEssential Functions and Primary DutiesPerform day to day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and processing accounts payable dataDaily, monthly, quarterly and annual general ledger accounting duties which include posting journal entries, account reconciliations and financial statement variance explanationsManage fixed assets sub-ledger systemReview and post transactions related to fixed asset acquisitions, disposals and CIP transfers and perform monthly reconciliationSupport internal and external groups with information requests related to fixed assetsManage intercompany transactions at corporate level.Record intercompany related accounting journal entries and perform monthly reconciliationPerform monthly local business unit cash balance review and perform reconciliationSupporting Treasury department with variance explanationsSupport finance team with audits and special projectsShare corporate office clerical dutiesMinimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in accounting, finance or relevant fieldTwo years of functional accounting experienceProficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Outlook, Excel, WordProven communication, organization, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skillsThe desire to be a committed team member to assist in other areas of the company's operationsAbility to work independently and meet deadlinesHandle sensitive and confidential information with discretionAccuracy and attention to detail CBIZ
