Developing strong connections with our patients is key so we can work together to create a personalized treatment plan!Dedicated to the full execution and follow-up of biologic medication prior authorizations. Responsibilities include accurately gathering clinical documentation, verifying insurance requirements, completing and submitting prior authorization requests, managing payer responses, and collaborating with providers, pharmacies, and patients to ensure timely approvals. The Medical Assistant must understand payer-specific criteria, maintain organized tracking systems, and escalate delays or denials appropriately. Success in this role requires attention to detail, persistence, clear communication, and a strong grasp of prior authorizations and insurance workflows.Participates in the care of patients in person, via telephone (phone screening) and telehealth modalities under the supervision of the Provider(s), in accordance with professional standards and scope of practice as defined by applicable State laws.Performs functions delegated by Provider(s) and Registered Nurses, including administering prescribed medications, treatments & immunizations, point-of-care testing, and collection/handling of specimens, within the appropriate scope of practice as defined by applicable State laws and regulations.Collects and screens history and health-related information from patients and communicates findings to the Provider(s).Communicates Provider advice/instructions and plan of care to patients.Documents care activities in the medical record including procedures, interventions, patient/family communication, and test results with accuracy and detail.High school diploma or GED required.Completion of Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience of 3 years as an MA.Certifications: Current BLS/CPR training.One year experience in a medical practice of healthcare setting preferred.Flexible day shift hours, no weekends!Health, dental, prescription, and vision coverage for full-time & part-time employeesCompetitive payTuition Reimbursement403(b) Retirement Savings PlanEducation & Paid training courses for continued career progression& more!
