Strategic Operations Research Analyst Level-1 / Orlando, FL

Overview Lockheed Martin is seeking a Strategic Operations Research Analyst to join a dynamic, high-performing team. The role involves using systematic, science-based techniques, analytical methods, simulation, and critical thinking to inform and improve decision-making across Lockheed Martin products and programs. It includes frequent collaboration with engineers and support for requirements definitions, concept of operations evaluation, and operational effectiveness studies. Key Responsibilities Participate in analysis and study plans based on critical questions/problem statements. Apply engineering-based techniques, problem-solving methods, and critical thinking. Research and learn military systems, operations, and tactics. Model, simulate, and analyze military systems and scenarios in digital environments. Analyze simulation results using data analytics to draw meaningful conclusions. Participate in trade studies and perform statistical analysis. Conduct research efforts and learn analytical techniques with research methodologies. Apply decision analysis methods to evaluate current and future programs. Desired Skills Active DoD secret clearance. Operations Research or experience with computer-based analytical tools. Modeling and simulation experience. Software development experience (C++, Git) and familiarity with Linux OS. Knowledge of data analytics, data science, and data visualization. Basic understanding of statistical concepts such as hypothesis testing and regression analysis. Advanced degree in a STEM discipline. Basic Qualifications U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a DoD secret clearance. Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited college/university. Scripting and data processing experience (MATLAB, Python, or similar). Problem-solving skills with an eagerness to learn. Ability to obtain a top-secret clearance upon employment; requirement for enhanced security review and timely maintenance of clearance. Additional Information Location: Orlando, Florida. Onsite full-time required at a Lockheed Martin facility. Work schedule: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules for flexibility.
