RN ICU

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide specialized nursing care in an Adult ICU setting, focusing on managing critically ill patients including those who are ventilated and require complex medication administration such as titrating IV drips. The RN will collaborate closely with Labor & Delivery staff to stabilize critically ill maternal and medical/surgical ICU patients, ensuring continuous monitoring and management of vital signs and fluid balance. This role demands a minimum of three years of ICU experience and a high level of clinical expertise in critical care nursing. Responsibilities:

• Administer and manage medications, including titrating intravenous drips for ICU patients.
• Monitor and manage vital signs, intake and output, and overall patient condition.
• Care for ventilated patients and provide advanced respiratory support as needed.
• Collaborate with Labor & Delivery nurses to stabilize critically ill maternal patients.
• Participate in rapid response teams to provide urgent critical care interventions.
• Provide skilled nursing care in a 6-bed LDRP unit, 3 OB triage beds, and 2 operating rooms within a Level II maternal designation setting.
• Coordinate with the Pediatric ICU (PICU) for patient stabilization when ICU-level care is required beyond the unit.

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in Adult ICU nursing.
• Proficiency in medication management for ICU patients, including IV drip titration.
• Experience managing ventilated patients and critical care monitoring.
• Strong clinical skills in medical/surgical ICU care.
• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration abilities.

• Experience working with maternal ICU patients.
• Previous involvement in rapid response teams.
• Familiarity with Level II maternal care units and LDRP settings.

• Position is on an on-demand/PRN basis.
• Work environment includes critical care units with high acuity patients.
• Collaboration with multiple specialized teams including L&D and PICU.

• Shifts are assigned on an as-needed, on-demand basis.
• Work primarily in a 6-bed LDRP unit with additional coverage in OB triage and operating rooms.
