Medical Referral Coordinator
Processing patient referrals to specialists and obtain authorization from a third-party payer. Keep patients informed of the status of the referral and specialist information. Assist with scheduling specialist appointments as needed. May perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic PC skills and basic office skills (fax, copy machine, multi-line telephone).
- At least 1 year clerical experience in a medical office setting.
- Knowledge of authorization/referral process for HMO/PPO and workers comp.
Salary Range: $23.00 - $30.00 hourly. Salary will be commensurate with experience. As part of our ongoing effort to remain an employer of choice, eligible employees who work qualifying weekend shifts receive a competitive weekend rate.
