Title
Wound/Ostomy/Continence Nurse - Consultant/Educator

Schedule
Guaranteed 40 hours/week
Weekends: May be needed; PRN shifts per contract

Requirements
- Valid permanent RN license in California
- BLS certification
- Wound-care certification (WCC or WOCN preferred)
- EPIC experience required
- Minimum 2 years of experience (1.5 years may be considered) in community hospital, LTAC, or Trauma level I/II settings

Roles & Responsibilities
- Consult on wound, ostomy, and continence care across various patient age groups
- Provide education to patients and families regarding wound care, ostomy management, and prevention strategies
- Assess and manage pressure injuries, including Stages I-IV and tunneling
- Utilize various wound care dressings and products and apply wound VAC therapy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Conduct nutritional assessments and monitor for edema/venous ulcer considerations

Compliance / Notes
- References: 2 supervisor-level references from the past year required at submission
- Max RTO: 2 weeks total, with no RTO within the first 2 weeks of the assignment
- Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Mandatory orientation modules (10-40 hours; first 17 hours are billable)
