Retail Finance Analyst for AI Training

FP&A Analysts apply financial planning, budgeting, and retail performance expertise to evaluate AI-generated finance content and produce expert training data that improves AI understanding of retail finance workflows. This is a flexible, hourly contract role that supports research projects and can be performed alongside academic or industry work.

• Use hands-on experience with financial planning, budget management, and retail performance analysis to review AI-generated responses for accuracy and relevance.
• Create and annotate expert-level training data that reflects real retail finance workflows and tool usage.
• Provide clear, actionable feedback on model outputs to help improve AI behavior in retail finance scenarios.
• Work independently and asynchronously with research teams, following project-specific instructions and quality standards.

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in retail finance or financial planning and analysis, in roles such as FP&A Analyst or Senior FP&A Analyst, or equivalent retail finance positions.
• Practical, hands-on experience with retail finance workflows, including financial planning, budget variance analysis, and long-range planning.
• Experience with hindsight analysis and store performance reporting.
• Experience with in-season reforecasting and demand forecasting.
• Strong written communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and asynchronously with research teams.
• No prior AI experience is required.

• Engagement type: hourly, contract, part-time work.
• Location: fully remote.
• Schedule: flexible and asynchronous, no minimum hour requirement; most contributors work approximately 5 to 20 hours per week while participating in an active project.
• Placement depends on current project needs; contributors may be considered for future projects as they become available.
• This is an ongoing, project-based arrangement that can be done alongside research, teaching, postdoctoral work, or industry employment.

Up to $80/hr (depending on the project)

• F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible to participate. Consult your Designated School Official to confirm eligibility.
• If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, this engagement may not meet that requirement.
• STEM OPT is not supported.
