Removal Proceedings Asylum Cancellation of Removal Appeals & Litigation *This position is either REMOTE or located at either of our two offices in Charlotte, North Carolina or Grand Rapids, Michigan.* About Us We are a family-based immigration law firm dedicated to serving immigrant communities with compassion, excellence, and advocacy. This position is for you if: You understand that winning removal cases requires far more than filing applications and hoping for discretion. You know how to identify weaknesses in a case early, build a compelling evidentiary record, prepare clients for difficult testimony, and develop strategies that maximize relief options. You are comfortable navigating complex issues involving asylum, nexus, credibility findings, criminal-immigration consequences, cancellation eligibility, inadmissibility grounds, detention and bond issues, and evolving immigration court precedent. You have stood in immigration court, defended cases under pressure, and understand that strong removal defense work demands preparation, strategy, and advocacy at every stage of litigation. We are hiring a bilingual (Spanish/English) attorney with substantial experience handling: Master Calendar Hearings and Individual Hearings Asylum (affirmative and defensive) Cancellation of Removal Bond Hearings and Custody Issues Motions to Reopen, Reconsider, and Terminate Appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) Complex humanitarian and removal-defense overlap cases Criminal-immigration issues and strategic relief analysis This is not an entry-level role . This is not a position for someone who needs extensive supervision to manage litigation deadlines or courtroom advocacy. And this is definitely not a role for someone whose strategy begins and ends with filing a continuance request.
