This role is responsible for driving team performance, ensuring product quality, and maintaining efficient test processes in a fast-paced, solutions-oriented environment. The Supervisor acts as a technical leader and mentor, supporting continuous improvement while coordinating cross-functional activities with engineering, quality, and production teams.This is for a Split Shift, covering portions of both 1st and 2nd shift.What we doThe Test team within the Service Center of Excellence is dedicated to supporting all functional testing and troubleshooting activities for Symbotic's autonomous robots at the Repair Centers. The team works in close collaboration with the Repair and Inspection Techs as well as with Engineering, Quality, and other departments as necessary.What you’ll doLead and supervise a team of robotic test technicians, ensuring productivity, quality, and adherence to testing standardsServe as a subject matter expert (SME) on ro botic systems, including electromechanical assemblies, embedded systems, and test proceduresOversee functional testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of autonomous robots and subassembliesEnsure timely execution of test schedules while meeting production and delivery targetsReview and validate test results, defect tracking, and documentation in internal systemsDrive root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring failures found in OOB investigationsMonitor and improve test efficiency, throughput, and process standardizationLead daily stand-ups, communicate priorities, and escalate issues as neededTrain, mentor, and onboard technicians in troubleshooting, testing processes, and best practicesEnforce safety standards, ESD compliance, and quality control proceduresSupport software/firmware updates and ensure proper configuration managementManage labor allocation, shift coverage, and workload balancingProvide performance feedback, coaching, and development plans for team membersSupport travel to customer sites for testing, deployment, and issue resolution as neededWhat you’ll needDegree or certification in Electronics, Mechatronics, Robotics , or related field (or equivalent experience)Minimum of 4 years of experience in robotics, automotive, or electronics testing/production environmentsMinimum of 1 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred ; ability to lead teams, prioritize tasks, and drive results in a fast-paced environmentStrong hands-on expertise in:Electro-mechanical systems (motors, actuators, sensors, controllers)Embedded systems and Linux-based platformsElectrical troubleshooting and diagnosticsExperience with root cause analysis, failure investigation, and corrective action processesAbility to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentationProficiency with tools such a s Excel, Word, and collaboration platforms (e.g., Teams)Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of ESD practices, quality systems, and escalation proceduresComfortable working in a production or lab environment with mechanical and electrical equipmentWillingness to travel to customer sites as requiredOur EnvironmentThere will be steep stairs to climb into the structure. You may be required to routinely walk up and down stairs to navigate the automation structure.You will regularly be near railings that are high off the ground.Subject to environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions but not necessarily temperature changes. Must be capable of working in temperatures ranging from 105° to 32° Fahrenheit.AT times you may be at a construction site with PPE required (hard hat, safety vest, steel toes, eyeglasses, ear protection, fall protection (e.g., safety harness).Frequent ability to safely and efficiently lift items weighing up to 50lbs and move items weighing up to 80lbs.Stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours and is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms.The employee is routinely required to work at heights of up to 45 feet and within restrictive areas of 24 inches. Where you may need to be able to stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Must be capable of occasional and/or continuous feeling, seeing, hearing, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, balancing, gripping, climbing, crawling, sitting, handling objects, and repetitive movement using both hands and feet.
