PLANT ADMINISTRATOR

Plant Administrator

As a Plant Administrator, you will be responsible for all day-to-day internal and external customer interactions, greeting visitors, coordinating shipping/receiving, and to provide full time administrative and customer support for a plant with 20-35 Team Members. You will report directly to the Plant Manager and be the liaison between the plant, customers, vendors and our corporate team.

  1. Process weekly payroll
  2. Maintain hourly attendance records
  3. Answer phones - Customer Service is essential
  4. Record Accounts Payable/Receivables transactions
  5. Reconcile daily Inbound/Outbound Shipments
  6. Process employee documentation: new hire information, termination forms, and attendance forms, and maintain personnel files
  7. Support all aspects of service to the customer
  8. Open new accounts
  9. Receive and process Purchase/Sales Orders
  10. Resolve any product or service problems
  11. Communicate and coordinate with manufacturing plants, sales, and accounting departments
  12. Ensure that all documentation is current and correct
  13. Prepare product and service reports
  14. Route and dispatch drivers
  15. All other duties assigned by management
Qualifications:

  1. Minimum 2 years Accounting Software experience
  2. Minimum 2 years ERP software experience, Dynamics/Great Plains experience a plus
  3. Minimum 1 year experience with electronic time keeping/clock systems
  4. Minimum 2 years payroll systems experience, ADP experience a plus
  5. Excellent computer/software skills (excel, word, PDF, etc)
  6. Must be organized, a self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  7. Must be able to multitask and accommodate multiple requests effectively
  8. Must maintain professional demeanor as this position is the first point of contact
  9. Must communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and spreadsheet software.

Education/Experience:

GED or High School diploma required. Bachelor's degree, equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
