Manager, Accounting

We’re recruiting a Manager, Accounting for a global consumer nutrition company in Torrance seeking a highly analytical accounting professional to lead global cost accounting, consolidation reporting, inventory analysis, and gross profit reporting across international operations.Location: Torrance, CA – Hybrid Salary: $135k-$147k + 10% bonusResponsibilitiesOwn monthly and quarterly gross profit and inventory reporting.Review global gross profit results and consolidate key findings.Manage intercompany transfer pricing and transfer profit eliminations.Identify and address corporate reporting and operational risks.Support 10-Q/10-K reporting, MD&A, and related disclosures.Prepare inventory fluctuation analyses and explain key variances.Analyze gross margin drivers, including FX, pricing, and sourcing costs.Maintain gross profit models, trends, and variance analysis.Update financial models as business needs evolve.Partner with Accounting, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and FP&A teams globally.Identify opportunities to automate reporting and accounting processes using technology and AI.Support ad hoc analysis and special projects.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.7+ years of accounting experience; Big 4 or top-tier public accounting preferred.2+ years of cost or inventory accounting experience.Strong accounting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and complex formulas.Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, PeopleSoft, or SAP.Knowledge of inventory, gross profit, intercompany, and financial reporting.Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities.Comfortable working with large data sets and global teams.Curious about using AI and technology to improve financial analysis and processes.The Solomon Page Distinction Our teams, comprised of subject matter experts, develop an interest in your preferences and goals and we act as an advisor for your career advancement.
