Staff Accountant

Staff AccountantSabre Systems, LLC is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team. This role offers a clear path for professional growth, with the opportunity to advance within the accounting and finance function—ultimately serving as backup to the Controller (Assistant Controller).The Staff Accountant will cross-train across the following functional areas to provide backup coverage. A rotation among these functions is anticipated:Accounts PayableAccounts Receivable, Billing, and Project SetupPayrollGeneral Ledger (GL) account reconciliationsBank reconciliations, including approval of positive pay exceptionsThis position is designed with advancement in mind. Over time, the Staff Accountant will progress within the accounting and finance area, eventually assuming backup responsibilities for the Controller as an Assistant Controller.Qualifications:3-6 years of accounting experience in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment using Deltek CostpointA four-year Accounting degree is preferred; equivalent experienceFamiliarity with CAS/FAR and GAAP highly desirableCPA certification is not requiredCandidate must be a US Citizen and will be required to pass a background check for this positionAt Sabre Systems, LLC, compensation is based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, and contract-specific requirements; however, final compensation will be determined by individual qualifications and applicable contract terms.
