We are seeking a dedicated special education professional for a full-time contract assignment supporting a TK/K/1st grade classroom, starting August 13, 2026 through June 4, 2027, in San Leandro, CA. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a maximum of 12 students and the support of three skilled paraprofessionals in the classroom.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid and active California Moderate/Severe Education Specialist Credential (required)
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher working in early elementary settings is highly valued
• Strong collaboration skills to effectively work with paraprofessionals and related service providers
• Ability to create, implement, and adapt individualized educational plans (IEPs)
• Committed to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment

Responsibilities:

• Develop and tailor lesson plans to address individualized student needs
• Implement behavioral and academic interventions for diverse learning styles and abilities
• Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with local and state regulations
• Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with families and support staff
