Direct Support Professional - College Experience Salary: $18.00 - $19.17 Position Overview The Direct Support Professional for the College Experience program at The Arc Ontario provides individualized and group support to students with developmental disabilities as they build independence, strengthen daily living skills, and participate fully in campus and community life. This role offers hands‑on assistance in areas such as communication, social engagement, personal care, household management, travel training, academic routines, and vocational exploration, all aligned with each student's individualized service plan. Participates in the ongoing assessment and evaluation of individual's needs and abilities. Assists individuals in determining valued outcomes, activities and staff supports to form plans of service. Assists individuals in communicating needs, wants and concerns to team members. Serves as a role model for individual's receiving supports, demonstrating respect, as well as social or other behaviors appropriate to the particular program or community setting. Serves as a role model for other staff by using the techniques, as trained.
