Edwards Auto Group in Council Bluffs, IA is looking for an entry level HRIS/Payroll Assistant to join the team! The ideal candidate will have previous experience in both HR and basic payroll related functions. The HR/Payroll Assistant will assist both Payroll and HR in all daily office functions including ALL "New Hire" Onboarding, pre-employment verifications, including Onboarding, DL & background checks.
This position is full-time M-F 8am-5pm.
Salary: $50-$60k annually
Responsibilities
- Responsible for onboarding – and all pre-employment verifications, including DL, Background check etc
- Processing payroll including, daily timecards, verifying, approving commissions and more
- Responsible for data entry- making sure new employees are entered accurately into the payroll system
- Assist with the new-hire onboarding process
- Assist HR director with daily HR functions (benefits, disciplinary actions etc)
- Enter Benefit eligibility info into the system.
- Verifying the accuracy of data on spreadsheets
Requirements
- Microsoft Excel & Word experience is required
- Previous New Hire Onboarding experience is highly preferred
- Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records
- Ability to retain information
- Previous Payroll and HR experience is required
- Positive attitude and team focused demeanor
- Proficient typing skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
