Job Description Summary


To assist in and maintain a secure working and learning environment for college patrons.

Duties


1. Performs foot and vehicle patrol of buildings and grounds.

2. Renders assistance in emergency situations.

3. Assists visitors and help coordinate special functions.

4. Assists Administrative and Maintenance Departments with daily operations.

5. Reports any incident that may affect the health and well-being of patrons.

6. Contributes to the College Vision, Mission, Values, and RISE statement.

7. Supports workforce diversity in all its aspects.

8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements (Applicant must meet all of the minimum requirements)


1. Must have at least a High school diploma or equivalent;
2. Must have a minimum of six months of part-time or equivalent experience as a Security Officer;
3. Must have a valid Driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications


1. Proficiency in a foreign language such as Spanish, an East Slavic language, and/or American Sign Language

1. If selected for hire, official sealed transcripts from an institution accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the US Department of Education are required to be received a minimum of two business weeks before the first day of work.
2. Transcripts outside of the United States, must be accompanied by an evaluation completed by a NACES recognized agency and received by Human Resources at least two weeks prior to the first day of work.
