Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.68 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including entrances, hallways, parking areas, and perimeter spaces, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor-related screening, directional support, and/or reporting of unusual behavior or maintenance concerns.
• Support a professional environment by following post orders, reporting hazards or suspicious activity, and assisting with de-escalation when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be willing to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting when required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
