Kraus Management is currently seeking an experienced Handyman for residential buildings in the Bronx.
Position summary: Perform repair work in apartments, building interior and exterior.
Responsibilities· Carpentry: Replace/repair cabinets, countertops, closets, etc.· Vacancy Preparation: Performs repair work required to restore apt. for new tenant· Electrical: Performs electrical repairs in apt and common areas· Plumbing/Boiler: repair/replace washers, leaks, minor pipe replacements, etc.· Painting/Plastering: performs throughout the apartments and common areas· Doors/Locks: Repair/Replace building entrance and apt. doors and locks
Job Type· Full Time· Union, 32 BJ
Qualifications· Experience of 5 years or more working as a handyman or in building/apt construction· Experience and permits, where required, in boiler, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance· Must have own tools· Must have valid NY driver’s license and vehicle· Must be a team player with ability to take direction and multi task· Polite with experience working in a customer service environment· Must be reliable and able to complete task in allotted timeframe
Hours· Weekend shifts required· Some evening shifts required
