Staff Accountant

Job TitleThis role supports the mission to Share Christ – Love People by ensuring timely completion of bank reconciliations and journal entries for month-end and year-end reporting.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and record journal entries in Salesforce with appropriate detail backupPerform bank reconciliations for Joyce Meyer Ministries and Hope Mountain Ranch accountsPrepare allocations for journal entry use and reconcile petty cashProduce and analyze required reports timely: may include Trial Balance, Financial Statements, Flux Analysis, various reports and other ad-hoc reporting requirementsAssist with creation, maintenance, and analysis of JMM budgetsAssist management: preparation for mileage booklets, annual audit, writing procedures, and complete special projectsAssist with fixed assets: additions, disposals, depreciation, year-end reports & yearly inventory trackingCommunicate relevant updates to ControllerAssist the Finance Department with general ledger account coding, estate planning recordkeeping, and Salesforce functionsMaintain personal knowledge base of current United States accounting standardsQualifications2-3 years relevant experienceKnowledge of Microsoft Office operating environment: Excel, Word, OutlookKnowledge of Salesforce or Accounting Seed accounting system software or similar programs preferredAbility to work within all levels of the organizationAbility to work quickly under pressurePrecise attention to detailHandle sensitive and confidential situationsProblem-solving skillsEducationBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration requiredPerksMission-driven job that also paysMedical Plan with no out-of-pocket premiumsGenerous HSA contributionsFree DentalFree long-term disability and life insuranceWholistic Wellness ProgramEmployee Assistance Program for you and your family403 (b) generous matchingDiscount on ministry resourcesOptions to work from home with a hybrid work environmentPaid time offProfessional DevelopmentTuition Reimbursement* Note: Please ensure you are utilizing the most current, updated version of your browser.
