Tire Technician

Miller Brother Staffing Solutions is seeking quality candidates for a Tire Technician position with a company in Erie, PA. This is a 1st shift position with a pay rate of $15/hour.

Tire Technician

Shift: 8am-5pm Monday through Friday, with Saturdays every other quarter from 8am-1pm

Pay Rate: $15/hour



Skills, Duties, Responsibilities


- dismount and mount passenger and light truck tires
- operate our tire balancing machine
- perform tire repairs to the USTMA standard
- operate pneumatic tools (1/2" air guns, tire drills, tire buffers, tire inflators, grinders, etc)
- be sufficient with hand tools (wrenches, ratchets & sockets, screwdrivers, etc.)
- how to change any passenger or light truck's engine oil & oil filter)
- how to identify and examine any passenger or light truck's air filters (cabin & engine)
- how to identify every vehicle fluid, specification, and fill if necessary
- taking out the trash
- moving scrap metal out of the shop to storage
- crush oil filters for proper EPA disposal
- keep floors swept and work area tidy
- clean tire mounting machines and balancers
- clean and put away tools
- inventory and put away stock orders
- inventory and put away new tire orders
- take out and lace scrap tires in warehouse

Dress Code and Conduct Policy


Technicians will also be expected to arrive for work in jeans or work pants and a black t-shirt or hoodie until uniforms are provided. Experience is preferred but not necessary due to the simple fact that even though they may have learned some of this work one way, our technicians will be expected to learn and perform these duties "our way." Any future technicians need to understand that they will need to conduct themselves in a professional manner and to ask questions as often as needed. There is zero tolerance for mistakes in our field.
