Critical Care/ICU Nurse Practitioner

ICU APP (ACNP or PA) Locum Tenens
Location: Cumming, GA Community Hospital ICU
Specialty: Critical Care / ICU APP (NP/PA)
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Contract Length: Ongoing

Schedule & Coverage

• Shift: 3x12 hr shifts weekly (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
• Call: None required
• Setting: Multi-specialty, high-acuity medical-surgical ICU

Clinical Details

• Patient Load: ICU patients per APP, in collaboration with attending physicians
• Responsibilities:
• Patient assessments, treatment planning, and interventions
• Multi-disciplinary rounds
• Order entry & documentation in Cerner EMR (H&Ps, consults, progress notes, procedures)
• Interpret diagnostic testing & communicate results
• Procedures: Central lines (CVLs, vascaths, introducers), arterial lines
• Team Support: ICU nursing staff + attending intensivists

Requirements

• Profession: Acute Care NP (must be ACNP-certified) or PA
• Experience: 1 2 years of ICU APP experience required
• Procedural Skills: Central and arterial line placement
• Licensure: Active national & state license required
• Credentialing: Case logs required
