Sales Director - FMCG

About the Role Our client is seeking a results-oriented and strategic Sales Director to lead their sales operations for the FMCG division in the George region. This senior leadership role is crucial for driving revenue growth, expanding market reach, and building a high-performing sales team. You will be responsible for setting sales targets, developing effective sales strategies, and fostering strong relationships with key distributors and retail partners across the Western Cape . The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the FMCG market and a proven ability to achieve ambitious sales objectives. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue and market share targets for the FMCG portfolio. Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales managers and representatives to maximize performance. Identify and develop new business opportunities and partnerships with key accounts and distributors. Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to refine sales strategies and tactics. Manage the sales budget effectively, ensuring profitability and efficient resource allocation. Represent the company at industry events and build strong relationships with stakeholders in George and beyond. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is a plus. A minimum of 10 years of experience in sales leadership, with at least 5 years specifically in the FMCG industry . Proven track record of successfully meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive market. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
