Job Description:Software Engineer (.Net)Overview:Client is seeking an experienced Application Engineer to support a specialized Legal Technology application within the enterprise. This role is responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and supporting a critical eDiscovery research platform used to fulfill electronic discovery requests across the organization.The application is hosted in the Azure public cloud and requires a strong technical professional with experience in application support, API development, database management, and cloud-based deployments. While experience with eDiscovery technologies is a plus, it is not required. The team can provide domain training, with the primary focus being strong technical expertise.Key Responsibilities:Support, maintain, and enhance a Legal Technology application supporting eDiscovery research requestsDevelop, update, and maintain APIs and application integrationsWrite and execute database queries to support application functionality and troubleshootingCreate, modify, and maintain database objects, including stored proceduresManage and support an Azure-hosted application environmentDeploy releases and application updates within AzureUtilize Infrastructure as Code tools, including Terraform, to make and manage application changesMonitor application health, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancementsPartner with engineering and business stakeholders to ensure application stability and performanceContribute to future modernization initiatives as the platform evolvesRequired Qualifications:7 plus years of software engineering, application engineering, or application support experienceStrong experience developing and supporting APIsHands-on experience with .NET Core developmentStrong SQL Server experience, including query development and stored proceduresExperience supporting applications hosted in Microsoft AzureExperience deploying releases and managing cloud-based applicationsKnowledge of Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code toolsAbility to troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance existing applicationsDesired Qualifications:Experience with eDiscovery platforms or legal technology solutionsExperience modernizing legacy or established applicationsFamiliarity with application architecture and cloud modernization practicesAdditional Information:This role is focused on a smaller, specialized application within a larger engineering organizationThe position is an individual contributor role with no direct management responsibilitiesTeam consists of approximately 15 engineersBanking industry experience is not requiredeDiscovery experience is considered a plus but is not requiredTop Skills:Azure application management and deployment.NET Core developmentSQL Server (queries, database objects, stored procedures)API development and supportTerraform / Infrastructure as CodeIdeal Candidate:An experienced engineer with strong Azure, .NET Core, SQL Server, and API development skills who can immediately support and maintain a critical enterprise application while contributing to future modernization efforts.Technical Environment:Azure Public CloudC#.NET / .NET CoreMicrosoft SQL ServerAPI Development & IntegrationApigeeTerraformVisual Basic (legacy application support)Nice to Have:eDiscovery or Legal Technology experienceApigee experienceExperience modernizing existing enterprise applicationsBanking or regulated industry experience (not required)Pay Range: $70- $75About PTR Global: PTR Global is a leading provider of information technology and workforce solutions.
