Medical Records Specialist

To ensure timely and accurate processing of medical information requests, the full-time remote ROI Medical Records Specialist will manage the release of information while safeguarding patient privacy and complying with HIPAA regulations. Key responsibilities Completes release of information requests by retrieving and scanning medical records, ensuring adherence to established quality and productivity standards Validates requests and authorizations for medical information release, performing quality checks to maintain accuracy and confidentiality Provides excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and proactively identifying and resolving concerns Required qualifications High School Diploma (GED) required A minimum of 2 years prior experience in a medical records department or similar setting preferred Strong computer software experience, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to type 50 words per minute Proven customer satisfaction skills with excellent organizational abilities
