Travel Physical Therapist (PT) - Pediatric & Special Education

We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a short-term contract assignment supporting students with significant developmental, intellectual, behavioral, and physical disabilities in a specialized educational setting.

This opportunity is ideal for a therapist who enjoys working with children and adolescents while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of educators and therapists.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate gross motor skills, mobility, gait, posture, strength, and range of motion
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Support IEP goals and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
• Provide individual and group therapy services
• Monitor and document student progress
• Consult with teachers, therapists, support staff, and families
• Support community mobility and functional independence goals
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license (Rhode Island or eligible for licensure)
• Minimum 3 years of Physical Therapy experience preferred
• Experience working with pediatric populations
• Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and behavioral challenges
• Knowledge of IEPs and school-based therapy services preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
