Location Miami, FL Employment Type Full-time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and dependable Senior Cook to support kitchen operations for one of our hospitality clients. This role is ideal for a hands-on culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment, takes pride in food quality, and can lead by example on the line. The Senior Cook will play a key role in daily food preparation, execution, and kitchen organization, while supporting junior staff and maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and consistency. Key Responsibilities Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to established recipes and quality standards Support daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service during peak hours Assist with menu execution and provide input on new dishes or seasonal items when needed Help train, guide, and support line cooks and kitchen assistants Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen areas Assist with inventory control, prep planning, and minimizing food waste Communicate effectively with kitchen leadership and front-of-house teams Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and portioning Adapt quickly to changing priorities and service demands Requirements & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 5 years of experience working in a professional kitchen Previous experience in a lead or senior cook role is strongly preferred Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen best practices Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs What We're Looking For Passion for food and kitchen craftsmanship Reliability and consistency under pressure A natural mentor who leads by example Pride in cleanliness, organization, and execution What We Offer Competitive pay Opportunities to work with a variety of restaurant concepts Long-term growth potential within the hospitality industry #J-18808-Ljbffr DIHO Consulting USA, LLC.
