Operations Coordinator I

Job Summary The Operations Coordinator I (OC I) is responsible for providing administrative support for a department and assisting with coordinating assigned projects and programs. Assist with development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of projects/programs. Provide assistance/support for coordinating administrative activities related to assigned projects/programs. Plan and implement events. Manage project/program logistics. Coordinate meetings, conferences, educational activities, and other related events. Develop and disseminate program/project materials. Communicate for project/program. Collect, collate, and report data. Coordinate and/or develop and maintain databases to support program/project activities. Assist in conducting literature reviews to support project/program activities. Maintain websites related to assigned project/program. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree AND two (2) years work experience in an advanced secretarial or office management position, with a work history in a medical/educational environment preferred; program/project management experience preferred. OR Associate’s Degree AND four (4) years work experience in an advanced secretarial position or 2‑3 years in office management position, with a work history in a medical/educational environment preferred; program/project management experience preferred. OR High School Diploma or GED AND six (6) years work experience in an advanced secretarial position or two to three (2‑3) years in office management position, with a work history in a medical/educational environment preferred; program/project management experience preferred. Communication Skills Above average verbal (heavy public contact); exceptional verbal (public speaking); writing/composing – correspondence and reports. Proficiencies: MS Word, personal computer, typing 30 WPM. Job Attributes Knowledge/skills/abilities: analytical, transcription, medical terms, mathematics, research, statistical.
