Production Supervisor

Job Title: Production Supervisor Location: 611 E. Job Overview This leadership role directs production associates in safety, quality, and productivity. Facilitates and executes the production department’s action plans, implements corrective actions, and supports operators to ensure facility operations. Builds and propagates a Continuous Improvement (CI) culture, coaches teams on CI tools, and develops standard operating procedures. Responsibilities Facilitate daily start‑up, routine production, and changeover processes for assigned lines using SAP tools. Schedule personnel, including training, callouts, and temporary employees. Maintain records for reprocess and collect/verify downtime worksheets. Update and verify daily production reports and production checklists. Verify production numbers with warehouse and packed production units. Implement the production plan for the shift and ensure the current production schedule is followed. Manage indirect material inventory levels to support production demands. Coordinate with Quality Control on hold situations and implement new procedures to prevent future issues. Coordinate the maintenance work order process for production. Manage recovery of non‑conforming products, coordinate rework back into production runs. Implement corrective actions and continuous improvements per management directives. Manage GMP/5S guidelines and participate in projects as assigned. Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures and achieve safety objectives for the area. Ensure accuracy of employee documentation. Develop and deliver presentations as required and support plant safety initiatives and policies. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or related field required. Strong experience in CI/Training with knowledge of SAP preferred. Proficient in spreadsheets; able to assimilate, analyze, and interpret data to drive line performance (Excel and Power BI use). Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to lead production employees, communicate goals and objectives, and coordinate communication between floor associates and management. Ability to draft reports, develop one‑point lessons, and publish written training material. Physical Activity / Working Conditions Work performed inside and outside the plant, exposing employees to temperature extremes, high noise levels, wetness, heights, dust, moving equipment, vibrations, and vapors. Must carry, reach, bend, crawl, stand, and perform repetitive motion; may lift up to 55 pounds and work at heights. Personal protective equipment includes safety glasses, slip‑resistant/safety shoes, and hearing protection. Employees must attend safety and GMP training, may serve on the facility safety committee, and participate in hazard analysis and resolution. Travel to other sites may be required periodically.
