Job Description and Duties

Under the general supervision of Accounting Administrator, I (Supervisor), the Accounting Officer (AO) Specialist performs professional accounting duties of average difficult assignment in the General ledger (GL) Unit. This position will Perform monthly SCO / FI$Cal Agency reconciliations, SCO FI$Cal fund reconciliations for assigned funds, prepare financial statements and DF-303 for the Energy Commission. The incumbent is expected to possess a general ledger experience and knowledge of the State’s accounting system. Minimum Qualifications (MQs): The MQs for this classification can be found at

Working Conditions

The CEC supports a hybrid workplace model with office-based and remote-centered workers. Limited in-person attendance and occasional travel may be required based on the needs of the division. Regular and consistent attendance is essential to successful performance. This position is office-based, which means the incumbent works more than 50 percent of their time from the office headquarters.Teleworking is only available for employees who reside in California. You must be located in California and provide your in-state address prior to your start date.
