Salary: Up to $85,000 We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with a background in law firm accounting to join our team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager , this role is responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping, administrative tasks, and office facilities management . Salary: Up to $85,000 We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with a background in law firm accounting to join our team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager , this role is responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping, administrative tasks, and office facilities management . The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of handling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced legal environment. Key Responsibilities:
- General bookkeeping : Record journal entries, process invoices, and manage accounts receivable/payable.
- Banking & reconciliations : Perform bank deposits, credit card reconciliations, and vendor account setups.
- Vendor & billing management : Communicate with vendors regarding billing matters and oversee account setup.
- Office administration : Manage office supply purchases, coordinate with IT vendors, and liaise with building management.
- Event coordination : Assist with organizing and coordinating social events.
- Data management : Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Other accounting & administrative duties as required.
- Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience , preferably in a law firm or professional services setting .
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Strong Excel skills (ability to create formulas and manipulate data).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills .
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills .
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain confidentiality .
