Express Employment Professionals is seeking an Industrial Electrical Maintenance Specialist to support a major industrial client known for modern equipment, overtime availability, and a safety-first culture. Role snapshot

• Ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operation of plant electrical systems under federal and state mining regulations and company policies.
• Diagnose and repair motors, generators, AC/DC starters, breakers, lighting, conduit, wiring, and control systems.
• Complete routine and preventive maintenance on electrical and drive systems.
• Install new equipment during construction, upgrades, and replacements.
• Conduct safety inspections at least once per shift; escalate when conditions warrant.
• Operate mobile equipment as needed—only after MSHA-required task training.

You will

• Use meters, meggers, and diagnostic tools to find faults and verify performance.
• Assist mechanical teams: isolate and lock out drives, disconnect motor leads, and prep for safe disassembly.
• Maintain a complete set of required tools within 90 days (tool list provided upon hire).
• Continuously remove slip, trip, and fall hazards through housekeeping.

You bring

• Strong electrical fundamentals, troubleshooting skill, and mechanical aptitude.
• Proven reliability, great attendance, and a strong safety record.
• Ability to perform arc welding and use cutting torches when needed.
• Capability to work independently and communicate effectively with teammates.
• Knowledge of safe operation of mobile equipment throughout plant operations.

Background & credentials

• 3–5 years of verified experience as an industrial electrician in mining or heavy industry.
• Proficient with electrical meters, megger testing, and diagnostic instruments.
• Experienced with variable speed drives, power distribution systems, and AC/DC starters.
• PLC troubleshooting experience is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
